What has been done?

CVIA has been involved in various events and projects to help empower and educate the homeless population.

• Co-sponsored Homeless Resource Seminar for families with children, 2007. Two day "Bringing America Home" Conference on Civil Rights of Homeless, focused on individuals,
2008.

• Participated in Convoy of Hope and Building Community Bridges, 2007, 2008

• Partnered with other agencies to launch a voter registration campaign in area shelters in 2007 and 2008.

• Actively involved with Brown County Homeless and Housing Coalition, The Next Step and The National Coalition for the Homeless.

• CVIA held a very firm stance on the issues surrounding St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter. They regularly attended meetings and hearings on behalf of those who would benefit from the shelter.

We continue to look for innovative and new ideas on how we can follow through with our mission.
